Lorraine has been riding for the past 35 years and is an EC Certified Level II coach. In 1993, she opened Hy Tail Equestrian Centre operating a full-service facility with 8 lesson horses and 20 boarders. For the past 14 years Lorraine has focused on dressage. In 2004, along with her husband Brad, they sold the large boarding stable and built a new, smaller facility with more personal care and personalized training program for horse owners.


Lorraine has had the opportunity to train with Dietrich von Hopffgarten , Henk Glijn, Jeremy Steinberg and currently travels to Langley to train with Olympian Leslie Reid. With numerous wins and championships on her own as well as client’s horses, Lorraine is actively involved in the Victoria and lower mainland show circuits.



Currently, Lorraine competes on her Andalusian mare, Garbosa who acheived an 80% in her second show. Lorraine rode her previous horse Brandy Time to a championship in the Blue Heron 6 year old young horse class at the BC Dressage Championships in 2007.

Expect the optimum care for your horse at Hytail. 4 feedings a day, excellent quality interior hay, grain, and supplements included. Walk out paddocks with 12 X 12 stalls, cleaned morning and night, and automatic waters. Blanket service, as well as holding for the vet or farrier if needed.

Lovely Canadian Warmblood mare, 7 years old, liver chestnut. Kind, quiet temperament, lovely, expressive movement with amazing hock action. Was started lightly last fall, and has had 3 foals. Sound, athletic, and excellent ground manners, Lucy should make a wonderful competitive or pleasure horse. Also qualifies for half Arabian registry.
